Kat Teranishi was voted as one of the top 5 brow artists by Narcity since 2017. Derma Clinic creates the most natural looking, realistic hair strokes with the use of Manual Micoblading. We carefully select the right shades to suit your natural skin tones, giving you the most natural look.
Brows are the framework for the entire face. The right eyebrow shape will add balance and enhance all your other beautiful features. Imagine waking up to perfectly groomed brows everyday without having to worry about filling in, smudging, sweating or disappearing.
Microblading is a technique that creates very fine lines or strokes to replicate the look of real hairs. Manually applied with different types of microblades. The size and thickness of the blades can determine how the hair stroke will look. For a client with excessively oily skin, this technique will result in a soft powder stroke. Dry skin types tend to heal with more crisp defined results.
Before we begin the procedure, we will carefully measure and design the best brow shape suited to your face, bone structure and existing hair. Once we have agreed upon the design, a topical anaesthetic will then be applied to minimize discomfort. The entire process takes only 2 hours and there is no down time. A complimentary touch up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. Pigment retention depends on skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, pigments used, immune system, medications and other factors. Touch ups are recommended once a year to prevent natural fading.
Ideal for normal to dry skin types.
This technique uses the stroking method to create “little hairs” but also uses a shading technique for more density. This look will still appear natural and but it will be darker and fuller.
Since Microblading alone will never give you the “makeup look”, implementing shading with the strikes, you can say goodbye to that eyebrow pencil.
We keep it soft for every day, so that you can still add makeup to it for a more dramatic look!
Shading typically lasts longer than Microblading as it uses more pigment throughout the eyebrow. If you are looking for longevity with less touch-ups shading would be the recommended method. However most people are fearful of this method looking too solid or unnatural. Permanent makeup has come a long way and is constantly advancing. This new shading method won’t be solid, dark and saturated like the older permanent makeup we see.
Ideal for all skin types.
Powder Brows, also referred to as Ombre Brows, offers a more subtle, soft pencil or powdered shadow effect closely mimicking the appearance of conventional brow makeup. Unlike the microblading technique where individual strokes are manually created, this technique uses an electric pen with tiny needles that puncture the skin to deposit colour and gradually build on the depth of colour, and shape of the brow.
This powder eyebrow tattoo technique is particularly popular with blonde and more senior clients, who prefer a fuller or longer-lasting brow. The Powder Brow technique is also recommended for those with oilier skin, those who are in the sun often, and those who wear a full face of makeup on a daily basis. This technique is for those who wish to achieve gracefully arched and beautifully coloured, yet softly defined brows without the use of individual hair strokes.
Permanent Makeup is not recommended for clients who are or have any of the following:
- Pregnant or Nursing
- Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult with your doctor)
- Viral infections (diseases)
- Had botox within a 3 week period of microblading appointment
- Had an organ transplant
- Sick with a cold or flu like virus
- Used Accutane in the past 6 months
- If you have extremely oily skin, the microblading technique is NOT ideal for you as the oil produced will cause your ‘hair strokes’ to heal much softer with a powder look rather than a defined stroke.
