We do our best to answer all your questions and concerns before your treatment.
Powder Brows, also called Ombre Brows, is a technique under the semi permanent makeup category. Powder Brows leave you with a soft, misty, "powdered" makeup look on the eyebrows. Typically, the tails of the brow are darker, and fading to light, giving it a very subtle look. Over time, the pigment fades leaving you lighter at the front of the brow and darker towards the tail.
Combination Brows, is the process of combining the Microblading and powder brow techniques. Combination brows give you the natural shading of the Powder Brow, with the gorgeous hair strokes of Microblading.
The artist uses a digital machine with micro-needles (cannot be done with Microblading).
Appointments are booked on a 1-2 hour basis, allowing for thorough consultation and treatment. Tattooing time varies for each treatment.
Numbing cream will be applied prior to the application and this greatly desensitizes the area, making the procedure painless. Most clients only feel light pressure or scraping. Depending on the sensitivity of your skin; some discomfort may be experienced.
Many different factors play a role in the lifespan of the implanted pigment. Clients skin type plays the biggest role in longevity and the general outcome of the procedure. Oily Skin types hair strokes may heal softer with a powder finish while drier skin types may heal more crips and defined. Darker pigments tend to last longer. Proper UVA/UVB protection will prevent colour from fading as quickly when in sunny climates. Aggressive skin treatments such as laser, chemical peel, dermabrasion etc. do not get along with micropigmentation.
After your first touchup appointment, you can expect the pigment to last 2-4 years. Additional touchups in 6 - 12 months can be booked as needed. Results vary based on skin type and after care.
Permanent Cosmetics are not safe for women who are pregnant or nursing. Pregnancy can cause undesirable results due to hormonal changes in the body.
We begin by mapping out your new brow design with makeup and use various measuring devices to create ideal symmetry between both eyebrows. Over 5 years of micropigmentation experience and continuing education play a crucial role in choosing the correct blade/needle size for each clients specific skin type as well as correct colour choice for each skin tone. We can also test colour choice against your skin so you can see it prior to the Micropigmentation. A numbing solution is used during the procedure to ensure the appointment is as comfortable as possible for the client. The 1.5 hour appointment is extremely interactive to help keep clients nerves at rest. My clients have access to a mirror throughout the entire appointment to check in and watch the process whenever they would like to. Healing is a simple process. There is no scabbing, no need to hide or take time off work, no down time at all. I send clients home with a moisturizing ointment to apply throughout the following 10 days.
Most clients leave the appointment with no redness. The numbing solution used during the appointment helps to control any swelling or redness which means you can continue your day with no funny looks or questions. Clients even come on their lunch hour and return to work directly after the appointment. Your results will vary depending on skin type, lifestyle and the immediate and long-term aftercare of your new tattoo. Once healed (after 4 weeks), the colour will reduce by 30-50 percent. Patchiness and lightness can be perfected during your second session.
